Gays have gone from sexual libertarians to anti-choice, sexual lifestyle totalitarians in less than 4 decades

From pro-liberty gay riots at Stonewall NYC to forcing their views and their lifestyle on others

Excerpted, Walter Block,, "Feminists are not libertarians, neither are gays":
This will shock you, gentle reader, but the feminists are not libertarians, and neither are the gays...
What about the homosexuals? When the gays rioted at Stonewall in New York City  they were acting compatibly with the NAP of libertarianism.
The cops (pigs, they were called in those days) were jailing homosexuals merely for consenting adult behavior. This was a violation of the NAP. But, nowadays, the gays do not limit themselves to upholding their (and by extension, everyone else’s) rights.
Now, of late, they have been insisting that other people, who do not appreciate their lifestyle, and who wish to have nothing to do with them, be forced, against their will, to engage in commercial activities with them.
See this, for example: Block, Walter E. 2013. “New Mexico Photographer Discriminates Against Lesbians: Liberals Zero, Conservatives One, Libertarians Full Marks.” September 13;
The gays, that is, have gone from a group defending the NAP to one attacking it.
For shame!
Editor's note - Block is the author of the much-revered 1970s pro-libertinism, libertarian classic, "Defending the Undefendable." The book laid out the libertarian case for legalization of prostitution, gambling, all drugs, and even loan sharking and ticket scalping. Block is a hardline Lew Rockwell-ian, market-anarchist like our own Thomas L. Knapp. He is absolutely no friend of right-libertarians on foreign policy issues and fighting Islamism. But on civil liberties matters, and economics of course, he's smack on!

For him to come out with this article, bucking the left-libertarian community on an issue near and dear to their hearts, is quite a breakthrough.

(I own an original copy of "Defending..." from the 1970s. The cover is way different from the updated version.)

The key is to simply ask these assholes why we're supposed to elevate this fetish into something it isn't.

They have no rational response, because there isn't one.

Eric Dondero said...

Their "fetish" is moocherism - "I wanna push my politically correct lifestyle so that I can get more government hand-outs at taxpayer expense."

It's always disconcerting to see a well-known libertarian who should know better turning into a whining collectivist in public.

Please extract cranium from rectum, Dr. Block: There's no such singular political entity as "the gays."

Eric, You're grasping at stupid straws. Homos aren't about subsidies.

Why is this fetish to be heralded?

There are plenty of strange compulsions.

Why is this the noble one?

Tom, what in the bloody fuck??? What in the world is that supposed to mean?

GLADD doesn't exist?

LGBT is a figment of our imaginations?

Duuude, you are seriously warped today. Retract before you make an utter fool of yourself.

A new saying for the ages:

All the good 1970's, '80's Libertarian Party members eventually find their way to Dondero-ism, and become right-libertarians.

Robert Ringer, now Walter Block...

Yes, GLAAD exists. And so do Outright Libertarians and Log Cabin Republicans.

There are conservative homosexuals. There are liberal homosexuals. There are libertarian homosexuals.

"The gays" is not a hive brain or a political collective. The only thing that all homosexuals have in common is that they are homosexuals.

Yeah, Donder-ism. Libertarianism with a facist twist.
