Dana Loesch "conservatarian" featured at Politico

"Republicans more concerned about the headlines are going to say about them... than what their constituents are saying about them... they're making a really big mistake."

Excerpted, "Dana Loesch: Not afraid to fire away" Politico:
Loesch, 35, has never been one to shy away from controversy, whether it’s battles with CNN’s Piers Morgan over the Second Amendment or defending the U.S. Marines who were caught on video urinating on what appeared to be dead Taliban fighters. And now she’s looking to expand both her program, “The Dana Show — the Conservative Alternative,” which can currently be heard in St. Louis and Indianapolis or streamed online, and her reach. Loesch — who calls herself a “conservatarian” — is just as likely to go after Republicans as she is Democrats.
And right now, she’s not liking what the right is doing in Washington, D.C. “I’m going to start bashing the GOP — I almost sound like the opposite of what I am,” Loesch said in a recent interview.
“Fear is an epidemic right now in the Republican Party because Republicans are more concerned with what the headlines are going to say about them tomorrow than what their constituents are saying about them today,” she added. “And that’s where they’re making a really big mistake.”
Loesch has also kept busy debating the future of the Republican Party but says the names currently bandied about for 2016 just don’t look like real, conservative winners to her. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio “damaged himself with immigration,” while Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, to whom she gives credit for “promoting a more libertarian element” with the party, may still be too much of a “newbie.” And New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie may be “good for his state” and “great in terms of how he approaches education,” but he’s not someone who will attract the grass-roots conservative movement, she said.

She seems sweet as pie in interviews. I've always really liked her. Smart.
