Whoa! Jesse Jackson, Jr. may be headed for "significant time" in the slammer

Like his friend Blago before him

From Eric Dondero:

A story we've been following for the last year or so. Now just breaking from the Chicago Sun-Times, "SNEED EXCLUSIVE: Pending Jesse Jackson Jr. plea deal includes ‘significant jail time,’ source says":
Sneed has learned a plea deal is now on the table between former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. and federal authorities probing allegations of campaign fund misuse.

Sneed is told the plea deal includes Jackson serving time in federal prison.

“Significant jail time is now definitely a part of the deal,” said a top Sneed source close to the probe.
Some of the charges include influence peddling (similar to Menendez), and the Obama Senate seat fiasco, where it is alleged Jackson made offers to Blagojovich.

Exit question: What's to stop Jackson from spilling the beans on a number of other Illinois pols, if he gets a surprisingly long sentence?
