Forget that. It's about protecting ourselves from the Red Chinese.
Liberals hate the basic concept enshrined in the constitution that rights precede government and the government's job is to protect them.
They also thrive on the false promise that someone from the government can always be there at all times to protect you.
Gun confiscation will be gradual. By the time the Sheeple see Fascism first hand it will be too late.

Real Liberals need to take back the term. IMHO, the term conservative is about the worst label one could carry. Ayn Rand said it tied people who supported a dynamic, free society to the most backward religious fanatics.
