Look out! Here comes Geraldo - REPUBLICAN - for US Senate 2014

by Eric Dondero

My guess, he's going to do it. I first heard rumors of this yesterday, and thought to myself, why the hell not? We certainly could do a lot worse than a Fox News contributor, who is anti-Islamist, Pro-Israel, and fiercely pro-military.

Geraldo on the domestic issues via CNN, "Geraldo says his 'modern Republican' view needed in Jersey":
"There can be a new vitalization of the Republican Party, a concept where we extol the virtues of good business and fiscal policy and we fight the deficit and we don't advocate the printing of money in obscene amounts just to cover our debts. We have to rein in entitlements."

"I believe in immigration reform. I believe in gay rights and gay marriage. I believe in choice. Not obscenely, but I believe in Roe vs. Wade," he told the hosts of "Fox and Friends."

"So you have to take my fiscal positions on being a Republican, who believes that we have to bail out future generations rather than indebt future generations, with some of these social policies that aren't in sync with much of traditional GOP politics, at least in recent years," he continued.
Yes, there's a whole host of issues he sucks on, namely race-baiting, affirmative action quotas. He's wishy-washy on guns. But this is New Jersey after all. It'd be hard to get any sort of principled Republican out of the Garden State.

Of particular note, he was great on the Ground Zero Mosque controversy a couple years back, pleading with liberals to show some sanity and not locate a mosque on the site so sacred to Americans.

Note - This WOULD NOT be for the Bob Menendez seat. This would be for retiring Senator Frank Lautenberg's spot. With Christie set to appoint a Republican to fill the Menendez seat once it is vacated, and a Geraldo win for the other seat, we could be looking at two Republicans from deeply blue New Jersey in the United States Senate. Believe it!

Geraldo is a true RINO and has effectively admitted that he only joined the Republican party in his youth because in the town he lived in, one had to be a Republican to get a job in the town government.

In most other respects he's on complete and unabashed Obamaphile and a gun grabber!

No, he is Republican on foreign policy. And the guy's okay, not good, just okay, on some fiscal matters.

He's a Scott Brown type, maybe slightly less right than Brown. I'll take that.

It's either Geraldo or Cory Booker. Booker's a nice guy. Geraldo is an asshole. But Booker will vote with Obama 90% of the time, Geraldo 55 to 60% of the time.

Look, we cannot afford to be picky and choosy these days. We lost the election. The Republican Party has got to lose the Elephant and become the Panda Bear Party.

Geraldo will help us to Pander for Hispanic votes. We either do that, or we become extinct.

Jerry Rivers, terrible on guns, liberal democrat in almost every way.

Any campaign effort would be entirely self-serving and serve largely as an effort to revive his dying media image. His last few media stunts failed miserably, his reputation as a newsperson died with them.

On the other hand, he does have the big shoes, the red nose, and the rainbow wig he'll need for the Republican clown car parade.

Yes Jim, but he's got a great mustache.

I saw that Geraldo endorsed Romney and then voted for Obama. He does not know what he believes in . . . in other words, he is the perfect Congressional Republican.

Sorry, if you are over 10 and vote with Obama 90% of the time, you might not be a nice guy.

Cory does seem very smart- even less of an excuse.

I know, I always bring up the history of urban renewal- but it's highly relevant.

Few cities in America had a job done on them like Newark did by government policies. The heart of Newark, it's vital Italian, Jewish, black central ward was completely destroyed long before any rioting happened.

Cory never seems to mention it. With someone else, I would chalk it up to plain stupidity and ignorance. Cory, is highly educated, smart and has lots of opportunity to know that history.
He's a very shallow, cold politician.
