Surprise! The left discovers Lapid isn't center-left; rather a Capitalist, and center-right

And his party has some of the most gorgeous ladies in all of Israel

by Clifford F. Thies

Up to a couple days ago, the elite liberal media declared the left to be the winner of the just conducted election in Israel (in spite of the fact the the parties constituting the ruling coalition secured an outright majority).

Yes, Netanyahu was humiliated according to the reports. He will no doubt have to turn to left. Shelly Yacimovich of the Labor Party can form a blocking coalition, blah, blah, blah, blah.

Now, the elite liberal media is discovering that Yair Lapid is not and never was a leftist, headline from Haaretz, the main left-wing organ of Israel:

"Yair Lapid, Naftali Bennett share Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s capitalist philosophy"

Yair Lapid and Naftali Bennett are capitalists?

Not only that, "Tzipi Livni, another candidate for joining a possible government, also shares right-wing economic views."

Et tu, Tzipi?

Not including the members of the Knesset from the Arab parties, the left-wing and socialists are down to 21 out of 109 seats.

Two out of three (four if the top left is included) ain't bad. Before I knew better, I would have given you a point for inclusiveness. Those days have been dead longer than the constitution, by decades. Never the mind.

As for "reporters", I thought they were going to put someone on blog patrol to avoid these types of news cycle gaffs? You'll have to let them know that you keep up on this stuff so as to avoid future toe sucking and naval gazing by their ignorant as fuck "reporters". Then again, it is fun to watch them get toasted. I'm good either way.
