Libertarian counter-Jihad blog has a new home -

From Eric Dondero:

Our friends over at Gates of Vienna were censored. It was down all last week. The blog was taken down twice in the last year by their host company. GOV readers suspect their staunch opposition to Islamism and their politically incorrect views as the cause. Of course, this cannot be proven.

As their header states:
At the siege of Vienna in 1683 Islam seemed poised to overrun Christian Europe. We are in a new phase of a very old war.
They now have a new home, and one that's safe from internet censors, or bitching and complaining special interests groups.

The site is run by self-described "libertarians." I had the pleasure of meeting one of the site's editor once at a conference featuring Dutch freedom fighter Geert Wilders, held in Nashville, Tennessee (photo).

While their focus is on fighting the Islamist threat, GOV editors often feature quotes and passages on economics from libertarian greats like Frederich Hayek, Ludvig von Mises, Miltion Friedman and Ayn Rand.

Simply put GOV is anti-Islamist precisely because they are libertarian. They are not conservatives. They are staunch defenders of capitalism. But they are also very much in favor of individual freedom and civil liberties.

Check them out! And add them to your Daily Favorites.
