Two more Republican-controlled Purple States eye Maine-Nebraska Method
Buckeye and ole' Virginia by Clifford F. Thies According to the Washington Times, two more Republican-controlled states are considering adopting the Maine-Nebraska Method of apportioning their Electoral Votes; namely, Ohio and Virginia. Previously, we reported Pennsylvania's interest. Remember, we figured this out early this year, half-seriously suggesting that the Republicans just steal the election by shifting all the Purple states that they controlled to the Maine-Nebraska Method. If they had, guess what, Mitt Romney would be the President-elect. While shifting to the Maine-Nebraska Method while the election is underway would be under-handed, shifting three or four years in advance gives the other side plenty of notice. Then, if they wanted, they could shift any state they controlled to the Maine-Nebraksa Method. Such as California. Yeah, that'd teach us a lesson.
