Democrat Party office holder says solution to gun violence is to "shoot" NRA members

And he's in Texas of all places

From Eric Dondero:

Meet John Cobarruvias. He is a long-serving Precinct Chair for the Democrat Party in Houston. He attended the 2008 NetRoots conference held in Austin. He's helped to organize protests against Texas Republicans. He was also a volunteer campaign worker for former State Senator Rick Noriega who ran for US Senate.

Cobarruvias has a blog, called, "Bay Area Houston." According to the headline, "Hard hitting political commentary, consumer activism, and always full of wit." Of particular interest to libertarian Republicans, Cobarruvias appears to be a bit of a Ron Paul hater too. One of his recent articles has a photo of a pick-up truck decked out with Ron Paul bumper stickers, headline: "Laughing and puking on GOP Tea Baggers." (The Bay Area where Cobarruvias lives, borders Ron Paul's 14th congressional district, and Paul is a Lifetime NRA member).

Earlier this morning, it was discovered by libertarian Republican columnist for The Examiner and friend of this website Joe Newby, that Cobarruvias may have just stepped over the line from "hard hitting political commentary," to advocacy of assault and yes, even murder.
liberals on Twitter called for the murder of NRA members. One of those making the calls was identified Sunday as John Cobarruvias, a blogger, Democratic precinct chairman in the Houston area and a member of the Texas Democratic Executive Committee.

"Can we now shoot the #NRA and everyone who defends them?" he tweeted.

After reading about the tweets on another site, Yvonne Larsen noticed a familiar name.

"Among the selection of tweets advocating for the murder of NRA President Keene and all NRA members was a name familiar to me; probably familiar to many readers of Houston’s Liberal blog sites," she wrote at Big Jolly Politics.

Larsen said she "pasted a screen shot from the Freedom’s Outpost story in case NASA employee and Democrat Precinct 699 Chair John Cobarruvias of the Houstonblog Bay Area Houston tries to delete his tweet."
UPDATE!! This story linked by Big Government at Breitbart.com and PJ Media, (PJ Tattler).

UPDATE!! This story talked about for 10 minutes today on nationally syndicated Michael Berry KTRH show out of Houston.

UPDATE!! Reporter Joe Newby has informed LR that Cobarruvias has Tweeted a half-ass apology along the lines of "sorry if anyone was offended," (paraphrased.) The Texas Democrat Party out of Austin has issued a response saying that they "do not condone violence of any kind."

And if a Republican had said something like this to a Democrat official?

What would you expect from someone who has condoned the genocide of 50million babies since 1972?

Not only is are this man's actions egregiously offensive and ignorant, from an elected official it is a Class A Felony. He needs to spend some time in federal prison to ponder the impact of his words as a member of the government. Inciting the mass murder of any group of U.S. ciitizens - while national tensions are so high - presumably falls within the guidelines of the Patriot Act and all hate crime laws. Hopefully the FBI has already taken him into custody for this heinous attempt to abuse his power as an elected official to coerce and induce others to murder NRA members.

It's not a threat. It's a question. 'I'm going to kill yiu' is a threat. 'Can I kill you?' is not a threat. You legal experts, the same ones that thought saying you are going to a soccer game is a threat, may want to brush up on it a bit. Oh and this was not 'huge'.

In order to shoot every member of the NRA and those that support them, he's more than likely going to need a magazine of more than 10 rounds. Not to mention a semi automatic, dare I say, assault weapon? But wait his party wants to ban them. So he will have to acquire such a weapon illegally. That shouldn't be a problem for him. Liberal Democrats are exempt from the laws they pass. Better bring a lunch and a borrow a bunch of ammo from DHS.
