Asian Times: US left out of emerging global economy

Further decline of the Obama entitlement-centered welfare state

by Clifford F. Thies

What do China, India, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and the countries of Southeast Asia have in common? They are in the process of expanding forming the world's largest and most dynamic free trade area, from which they have specifically excluded the United States.

Regarding the U.S., it's not just Mitch McConnell who laughs at Barack Obama. The Asian Times notes specifically the excessive indebtedness of the country, and the country's anti-small business policies under Obama.

The real strength of the country, the Asian Times notes, is our entrepreneurial spirit, our spirit of enterprise and innovation. But, to Obama, what is important is delivering more and more to his voters. The Asian Times notes the back-breaking cost of Obamacare to small business, and we will add the threat of tax rate hikes in his "my way or the highway" approach to the Fiscal Cliff.
