Yeah, happy b-day! Well, as happy as it can be. At least you are still breathing, picking your fights, and tugging on the ropes. Sometimes it's the journey, sometimes but rarely the destination, that actually ends up counting. I hope you have enough more that you can see a return to some... sanity in the world.
Wow, living in TJ and commuting into SoCal for work. I could handle the first part, the second part not so much. I guess the trolley up from San Ysidro to San Diego wouldn't be that bad of a commute, though.
His name is Dan. He's an old Vietnam Vet. Totally a libertarian/conservative. He's great to have around when we get blockers, union thugs, ect...
Anyway, he has to get up at 4:00 am to "beat the line" to get into the U.S. from Tijuana every day. Once he gets to the trolley it's a breeze, but the line into the U.S. is at least 2 hours long every single day.
He's not the only one. The place I work at in S.D. has about 5 other "communters from TJ." There's a whole shitload of Americans now living across the border. Life is 100 times cheaper and easier in Mexico. Nobody gives you a hard time. People leave you alone pretty much, so long as you leave them alone.

Happy B-day Eric
Thanks guys. I'm at a Starbucks in El Paso, Texas checking up on the site, email.
Everything looks great!
El Paso? WTF? You should be in Tucson by now. I will be traveling over the holidays and I'll be back Saturday. I was hoping you would be in AZ today.
Congrats.
Another day closer to the grave.

I know this old conservative petitioner guy from San Diego. He's a Vietnam Vet. He lives in Tijuana, commutes every day across the border to work.
His philosophy of life: Every day above the ground is another good day.
Can't argue with that.
Happy Birthday! Wow, the same day as my husband's.
Happy travels for another year.
