BOOM! Mia Love now comfortably ahead in Utah 52 to 40

Just released Salt Lake City Tribune poll

From Politico, "Poll: Mia Love opens up big lead":
Mia Love leads incumbent Rep. Jim Matheson (D-Utah) by double digits in the race to represent Utah’s newly drawn 4th congressional district, according to a new poll.

Love, the mayor of Saratoga Springs, is ahead of Matheson 52-40 percent in a Salt Lake Tribune poll released overnight. The two candidates have been locked in a hotly contested and expensive contest that comes with a price tag of at least $10 million. Earlier polls indicated that the race looked to be a nail-biter.

But in the latest survey, Matheson — a six-term congressman — managed to secure crossover support from only 9 percent of Republicans in the deep-red state.
Editor's note - With Allen West also comfortably ahead in Fla. in the most recent polls, and Tim Scott facing no serious opposition for reelection in South Carolina, that makes at least three African-American Republicans in Congress starting in January. That's the most Black Republicans in the House since the 1870s.

Sidenote - This also means Utah's congressional delegation, 4 members, will now be all Republican.
