Paul Ryan being vetted

Might the Romney people be reading this site?

by Clifford F. Thies

Do the math. With Romney looking competitive in Michigan and Wisconsin, and with Ohio being so very crucial, putting a midwesterner on the ticket may be the key to victory in a close race. Other crucial states, such as Florida and Virginia, look ever so slightly better for the Republican cause. And, neither New Hampshire nor New Mexico has many electoral votes. So, while there are strong arguments for Senators Ayotte and Rubio, and for Governors McDonnell and Martinez, Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin might be the best choice, something we first said a few weeks ago here at Libertarian Republican. Now, we find out that the Romney campaign is vetting the guy.

I like Ryan, mind, but this isn't a close race. A dead groundhog could win if someone stuck a GOP pin on it's chest. But... Ryan would be a great choice. Rubio. Mitt said it best: We have an embarrassment of riches.

Ryan is a fool.

Libertarian think tanks pointed out that the last budget proposed by Ryan added another $10 trillion to the national debt over about 10 years.

That does not even sound like a Conservative budget let alone a Libertarian one.

It's about unwinding the nanny-state in an orderly manner, Gary. It's about adding value and certainty to the dollar and the markets as the size and government are brought under a knife. Ryan is no fool; this is part one. Think: detox.

As Ryan's proposals begin to yield results, more can be demanded and delivered. This is about phasing-in Public expectations as big-government is phased-out. His is indeed a very Conservative budget; this is how Conservatives do things.

Ryan has the only serious budget plans proposed by anyone. Only a drooling dipshit would call him a "fool". Par for the fucking lunatic course, I suppose.

That's one of the problems with the so called libertarian movement, for the most part it's a pathetic Star Trek convention of people living in some deluded fantasy world where a hundred years of precedent when it comes to social spending is to be done away with in an afternoon.

Fools indeed.

Chuck's a fool if he thinks Ryan's plan is realistic.

A fucking parrot. As usual. Have you ever experienced an original though, you gutless troll?

Ryan's plan is crazy. 30 plus years of more deficits will put us in the area of $40 trillion in debt, just to get back to zero. Sorry, it's not a winner.

What is, you jagoff?

Explain the "winner".

Crickets ensue.

It's such a damn shame that so many people who claim to be interested in politics have no understanding of politics. Hell, the only thing these assholes really support is their own imaginary magic wand.
