Noteworthy Libertarian Party news - R.J. Harris backs out of LP Presidential contest

A cakewalk to the nomination for fmr. New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson

From Eric Dondero:

Looks like Gary Johnson has taken yet another step towards securing the nomination of the Libertarian Party for President. His main rival, 20-year National Guardsman, and 2010 Republican primary candidate for Congress in Oklahoma R.J. Harris has announced he's stepping aside. From his campaign website:
With regret I must report that my campaign has not raised the funds necessary to wage a national campaign for president any longer. Initially it was my belief that we needed a back up candidate to Ron Paul in case he did not win the GOP nomination. However, with Gov. Johnson joining the LP nomination this mission will have to fall to either him or Mr. Lee Wrights now and I wish them both the very best...
Harris also announced his bid for congress against incumbent Republican Rep. Tom Cole. He will attempt to get on the ballot as an Independent for the Fall election.

Of note - Harris is half American Indian.
