Liberal bloggers: Women shouldn't be "forced" to be responsible with sex

From Eric Dondero:

Meet Ciara Matthews. She is the new campaign spokesperson for Scott Walker's reelection campaign, recall election for early June. (See latest Bloomberg piece where she's cited on the Walker campaign vs. John Cougar Mellencamp song-playing at campaign events controversy.)

She's also a former hard right conservative blogger from Arizona. An ardent pro-lifer, during her blogging days she supported women taking responsibility for their sexual activities. No prude. Just if you get pregnant, whether by intention or mistake, have the baby.

Her view:
Nobody is stopping women from having sex or from having children. A woman's right to CHOOSE when to have sex, who to have sex with, and whether she will use birth control or not are all rights and CHOICES that can be made. Then when a woman makes a CHOICE which consequences are becoming pregnant, the only CHOICE you anti-lifers fight for is one that kills a human child.
But being responsible is now the new lefty definition of being a prude.

From the far leftwing (but somewhat snazzy) blog, Jezzebel, "Meet the Rising Republican Star Who Would Love to Punch Hillary Clinton in the Face":
In a hypocritical turn, Matthews seems totally fine with selling chaste sexiness but not permitting sexuality — she used to be a waitress at Hooters.

Now, short of cooking meth or murdering enemies of the mob, doing what you have to do to work your way through college is generally admirable, and Matthews shouldn't be faulted for donning the shiny suntan nylons and orange short shorts of the Hooters uniform. As they say, if you've got it, flaunt it. But profitting from selling a plasticized form of unnatural sexiness designed to arouse men while simultaneously believing that women should be forced to face the "consequences" of actually giving into to (sic) their sexual desires is a pretty backward way of thinking.
How very nice of them to say that being a Hooters babe isn't quite as bad as being a meth head.

Oh, and Jezzebel "uncovered" a photo of Ms. Matthews in her Hooters outfit.

Even more, during her blogger days Matthews questioned global warming, expressed admiration for Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter, and snarked that she'd love to punch Hillary Clinton "in the face."

Of course, for those positions, the far lefty blog calls the young woman a "dumbass."

Individual responsibility is individual responsibility.

Sexual conduct is a personal choice.

The position "Women shouldn't be forced to be responsible with sex." is a good position in my view.

Women (and men too) should choose to be responsible with sex.

It's hard to see the difference sometimes between those who self-identify as "Liberal" and those who self-identify as "Conservative". In spending decisions, if not in rhetoric, Congress critters on both sides vote to transfer the responsibility for one person's individual personal decision onto everyone else.

No wonder personal irresponsibility is rampant. Let people know that they will have to bear the burden of dealing with their own decisions and in a short while, I think things will change dramatically for the better.
