From Cliff & Eric:We like to have fun on this site. And we can be sardonic, biting and even downright nasty, at times. But we pause from our regular programming to make a comment on a very serious subject.
Rick and Karen Santorum's daughter Isabella was admitted to the hospital late yesterday. From all reports, the situation appears to be quite serious.
The very latest from CNN:
Rick Santorum's three-year-old daughter Isabella, who suffers from a chromosomal condition called Trisomy 18, was admitted to a Philadelphia hospital Saturday. The editors and associates of Libertarian Republican would like to wish the Santorum family all the best, and hope for a speedy recovery for Isabella.
Rick and his wife Karen are admitting their daughter Bella to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia this evening," Gidley said. "The campaign will cancel Rick's upcoming Sunday morning Florida campaign schedule. However, Rick intends to return to Florida and resume the campaign schedule as soon as is possible."
Trisomy 18 is caused by extra material from chromosome 18, and is three times more common in girls than boys. Half of patients born with the condition do not survive past the first week of life, according to the National Institutes of Health. Patients who do survive past the first week experience serious medical and developmental problems.

Eric you are a deist. Who do you pray to? Mitt Romney.
The RNC.
Prayers for Isabella and her parents, strength to all.
Thank-you Eric & Cliff for the post.
Thanks to G-d that little Isabella has parents who love her and cherish her.
I figured. Lol
Best wishes to Isabella and to the Santorum family.
Political fan of Rick Santorum or not, his obvious love for and dedication to his beautiful family is an example worth following.
He is running for president and he knows he won't win, but is fulfilling his ego while his daughter is dying. What a piece of crap. When his daughter is fighting for her life he is going to suit up and show for appearances and he knows he won't win, has he no shame? Has he sold his soul for Mitt so he can stay in to split the Conservative vote? Utterly sick. My God I hope his daughter survives, I can't believe the guilt he will have if she passes away while he was on his ego trip.
JJ makes a really good point. I castigated John Edwards for running while his wife had cancer. That was a selfish act. This is too. Santorum could have waited 4 or 8 years if he were really concerned about his daughter. That said, I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. If I was a pray-er, I'd certainly do so for this family.
Yer gonna get sick of the smell, Eric.
