Ron Paul concedes he may go Libertarian Party if Romney's the nominee

1988 AND 2012 LP nominee?

From Eric Dondero:

CNN reports ("Will Ron Paul run as 3rd party candidate?") that Ron Paul is not ruling out a third party run. And according to Wolf Blitzer, Romney's Reagan/Pro-Military approach to foreign policy, could be the reason he bolts.
“Would there be a change in foreign policy?” Paul asked during an interview on NBC's “Meet the Press.” “No, there would not be.”

No,” Paul insisted. “There would not be a significant difference between the two [Romney and Obama] – although on the edges, maybe. …
And this from ThirdAge.com "Ron Paul Courted By Libertarian Party Supporters":
The Republican presidential candidate is being courted from leaders of the Libertarian Party, who are enthusiastic about his political views and calling him the “ideal candidate.”

“Absolutely, that would be fabulous,” said Jim Lesczynski, media relations director for the Manhattan Libertarian Party as quoted by ABC News.

The Libertarian Party would share some of the same beliefs as Paul, including limited government intervention and a hands-off social policy. Many members of the Manhattan Libertarian Party openly campaign for Paul.
Paul was the 1988 Libertarian Presidential nominee. He appeared on 46 state ballots, plus the District of Columbia and Guam. He came in third, receiving 432,500 votes (.6%)

Standard disclaimer: This website agrees wholeheartedly with Ron Paul on his domestic agenda; we disagree stridently with his foreign policy views.

Why hello Mr. President, I know you are a socialist marxist who will do everything possible in your power to remake the country in your image in your second term. But you know what I am OK with that, I would rather have that then support a pro-business former CEO with a long history of fixing broken companies, who doesn't walk lock step with my defeatist agenda. I am bitter old man, and if the Republican party rejects me (again) I am going to show them that when Ronald Reagan (who I hate, because he insisted on winning a war) talked about a big tent he was wrong, we libertarians are fair weather friends only, as soon as we disagree with anything its backstabbing time "bitches".

Fuck you America,

Sincerely

-Ron Paul

Oh BTW I am not a Romney fan either, doubt to many people here are. But he is a thousand times better then BO. Maybe tens of thousands, just make sure he doesn't get an assault weapon ban in front of him and let him lead.

(I am serious about not letting him near an assault weapon ban though)

Paul refused to endorse the republican nominee last time around. That should leave no doubt as to where his true allegiance lies...with himself.

Chuck, you mean with principal.

I don't know if the Blitzer blog changed the text, but I got the opposite read on Paul's intent.

"Chuck, you mean with principal."

No. No one at the school. Himself.

Chuck FTW, although not particularly for the reason stated.

With principle, but not with interest?
