Katya Koren, 19, was found dead in a village in the Crimea region near her home.
Friends said she liked wearing fashionable clothes and had come seventh in a beauty contest. Her battered body was buried in a forest and was found a week after she disappeared.
Police have opened a murder probe and are investigating claims that three Muslim youths killed her claiming her death was justified under Islam.

Monday, May 30, 2011 was Memorial Day.
It is a holiday were we remember those who died in military service.
Eric writes often of being a veteran & how important honoring veterans is, etc.
"All gave some, some gave all."
Memorial Day isn't about veterans, but of veterans who lost their lives.
An important holiday what with the USG's on-going meddling overseas.
You'd think Eric might want to have something...but you'd be wrong.
What was at libertarian republican to commemorate Memorial Day.
Nothing.
There was more sentiment about lost American lives on Memorial Day at antiwar.com than here.
