Not terribly surprising here. The two men are both New Yorkers and share similar views on a range of issues.

From Newsmax.com, "Dick Morris: Donald Trump Is 'Mr. Winner'" April 26:

“And you can’t ask for a better spokesman for the free-enterprise, economic, laissez-faire, win system — and American exceptionalism — than Donald Trump,” he continued. “If he’s anything he’s a winner — and ultimately the United States right now needs a winner.”

Note - Morris has referred to himself as a "libertarian" Republican on numerous occasions in the past.
