Egyptian Army opens fire on Coptic Christian church
American media not covering attempted Massacre
From Eric Dondero:
It is still unclear as to what provoked the attack. Some say a dispute as to the location of a fence and gate surrounding the Monastery.
But Egytian Army opened fire on the Christian Church, seriously injuring several Coptic Christians and injuring one Priest who had a wound to the chest.
Violent confrontation begins at 1:40 minutes in.
Virtually no American media have covered this story. Only the foreign press is reporting on it.

Also uncovered by the media is the destruction of the Christian community in Iraq. One of the many bad consequences of the USG's invasion of Iraq.

Alan, the persecution of Christians in Iraq was going on during Saddam's regime. It didn't begin as a result of the invasion.
Saddam, Qaddafi, and Mubarak, being not so devout Muslims, were restraining factors on Muslim persecution of non-Muslims in their countries. Not enough to give them anything like real equality or rights, that would not have been tolerated, but enough to prevent their wholesale removal and liquidation. Now that they're gone all restraints on the full implementation of Islamic piety have been removed, and we are seeing the fruits of that in this video.
Mr. Turn do you think a Muslim Caliphate would be more humane--rather then a secular regime? I have also read that under Saddams Government the Assyrian persecution was not a factor. They were unarmed, has anyone filed a complaint against the military on their behalf?

You mean like when Saddam gassed the Kurds? Wow, I guess we should have left Saddam in power so the Christians could just take their chance.
/sarcasm off.
Our mistake was not in taking out Saddam; our mistake was in not completing the de-jihadification of Iraq as we de-nazified Germany.
And part of the reason we did not do the job right in Iraq was "squishy" politicians in Washington who were pushed even softer by the Left, the Left that sees Jihad as their ally in destroying the Judeo-Christian (and Capitalist) West.
These are the same left wing animals (Obama, Clinton, Soros, the DNC) who plotted for 2 years to depose Mubarak without coming up with a pro-western transition and replacement.
And thus THATS why the Copts are now in jeopardy.
