BREAKING NEWS!!From Eric Dondero:
Embattled Virginia Democrat Congressman Tom Perriello, 20 points behind Republican Bob Hurt in the polls, is making a play for libertarian votes. In an interview with the Charlottesville Libertarian Examiner Perriello told reporter Richard Sincere that he believed that ObamaCare was actually consistent with libertarian values.
From The Examiner "Congressman Tom Perriello explains his appeal to libertarian voters in Virginia’s 5th District" Aug. 11:
Perriello replied that he has “taken a strong position in terms of regulation of farming, and manufacturing, and other issues from a libertarian perspective.”Joe Sciarino, spokesman for the NRCC provided Libertarian Republican with this response:
Referring to his votes to support the comprehensive health-care overhaul bill pushed by President Barack Obama (the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act), Perriello suggested that his vote was motivated, in part, by libertarian concerns.
“Again,” he said, “I think there are ways to understand some things that have been pitched as government takeover as really being about individual rights and libertarian rights,” for example, for “people to not get screwed by your insurance company, the right to not have to pay for other peoples’ illnesses.”
“To me,” Perriello said, these “have a libertarian undercurrent.”
“Congressman Perriello clearly lives in a fantasyland where, magically, voting for a government-takeover of healthcare somehow doesn’t constitute stripping Americans of an individual right. What’s next, that this bill was deficit neutral and won’t raise costs for consumers? If Perriello thinks the people of Virginia’s Fifth District appreciate his “efforts” on their behalf, we’ll just have to see how they respond in November.”Story developing... LR will have more on this later today and tomorrow.

Hey Eric I was wondering who are you backing? Clint Didier or Dino Rossi? Rossi seems like a fine guy,but Didier just seems like an all star.
Coin toss. I like both these guys. I do think Rossi's got the edge. Though, Sarah's with Didier. So, who knows?
"In an interview with the Charlottesville Libertarian Examiner Perriello told reporter Richard Sincere that he believed that ObamaCare was actually consistent with libertarian values."
The Democratic Freedom Caucus has tried to make a similar argument in favor of cap and trade. What a bunch of communists.
And FYI, the RLC has endorsed Didier.
Does this idiot even know what Libertarians believe in??? He's a fool!
Wow. What a choice:
- - - to be gang raped by Statist Democrats
or
- - - gently dated raped by Statist Republicans
As for me I will vote straight Libertarian here in California. This is my last chance since the evil Republicrat Alliance has banned all four opposition parties from all general election ballots in future elections.
But Gary, the Libertarian Party supports privatizing the roads.
..and then raping people in the private road. O what a miserable weight all that wisdom must be on the crown of the demented yet saintly "Gary".
Better to vote for a Libertarian Party that I agree with 90% of the time than to vote for a Francisco Franco style Right-Wing Socialist Party that just banned four opposition parties from the ballot.
If Germany was banning political parties from the ballot the so-called "Conservatives" would parade around in self-righteousness indignation. But somehow it is not Fascism when we do it.
...and then "Gary" took another big toke.
Whooooooeeeee!!!!
"Genius, Motherfuckers!!", he said.
"I'm a mother-fuckin' genius, motherfuckers!!!!"
"I'm so high off my ass right now." said Gary.
"We know." said everyone else.
Chuck, I was wondering what happened to you. It's good to have you back!
