Speculation has run rampant since Republican Scott Brown's miraculous victory on Jan. 19, that his win stopped ObamaCare dead in its tracks. Now comes solid confirmation. From The Hill, "Health deal was reached days before Brown's Senate victory" Jan. 30:
The latest revelation shows how agonizingly close Democrats came to passing a final healthcare bill in time for President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address.Note - Scott Brown will be seated in the US Senate on February 11.
[Tom] Harkin (D-Iowa), who attended healthcare talks at the White House, said negotiators were on the cusp of bringing a bill back for final votes in the Senate and House.
Harkin said “we had an agreement, with the House, the White House and the Senate. We sent it to [the Congressional Budget Office] to get scored and then Tuesday happened and we didn’t get it back.” He said negotiators had an agreement in hand on Friday, Jan. 15.

Hey... the Republic isn't out of the cauldron just yet. This guy has helped to douse some of the flamers by reducing their majority - buying us some time, and for that we ought to give thanks.
The 'progressive' cancer and its manifold tumors still remain: remission isn't cure.
Libertarians of all stripes must board the SS Republican Party and take her. The 'progressive' effete at the con must be made to cooperate or walk the plank. In the battle of Liberty v. Tyranny, "moderate" is just another word for failure.
Maybe he "saved" the Republic, but look out down the line.
Scott Brown is a more liberal Republican than Dede Scozzafava.

Imagine if we had anything other than a two party system.
His election by itself wouldn't have amounted to more than dick shit on a ritz.
And here we are...no thanks at all to the "real libertarians".
