From Eric Dondero:Late yesterday paramedics were called to Rush Limbaugh's hotel in Hawaii. It had been reported that he was suffering "chest pains." He was taken to a nearby hospital. Latest word is that he's "recovering," and that it might not have been a heart attack. Although, we caution this is not yet confirmed.
I speak on behalf of the editorial board and writers here at Libertarian Republican, and I'm sure for the Libertarian Republican movement nationwide, that we wish Rush a speedily and full recovery.

He beats listening to you, whoever you are.
Earlier Wiki website said that he was dead. They're such idiots. I listen to Rush everyday. Walter E Williams sat in for him today.

There need to be more. Glen Beck is a close second, but the field is weak.
You know, I've pondered that thought too.
I can come up with only two names, and unfortunately one of them, is too old.
Marc Steyn and Walter Williams.
Dr. Williams is pushing 75.
So, the only single individual who could ever replace Rush, and who matches him on intellect and wit, is Marc Steyn. And coincidentally, he's Rush's #1 most requested sub-host.
The guy is friggin' hilarious. He's like a walking pun.
Yeah, but Mark Steyn's true gift is writing. He is the best writer alive today in my opinion. As a talk show host, he makes a pretty good writer.
Hell, I'd sit and listen to Ann Coulter all day long just because I think she's the coolest 7 foot tall bone-skinny woman in the world, but she also is much better at writing than she is at doing show.
The sad fact is, there simply isn't anyone in the world nearly as good as Rush Limbaugh at what he does. When he's gone someday, there will be a gaping hole left in the infotainment biz. He has changed the world for the better. I put him up there with Rand and Friedman in terms of the great good accomplished through his life's work.
Tell me your opinion of Rush Limbaugh (and Sarah Palin) and I instantly know who and what you are. They are each a living litmus test for smelly little scumbags.
7' tall? She only looks that way. More like 6'. She would be a handful, I tell you that, even for me.
Mark Steyn is great. He definitely needs his own show. He might even be better on TV, but to be honest, I don't know what he looks like.
As far as Palin goes, only time will tell. The good thing about the press hounding her is that they aired all her laundry and she came through it. Now she can do what she needs to do.
