Michael Moore to campaign for Republicans? Oh please, No!

Just as a Senate panel was rejecting a public option for health care, by a vote of 15 - 8 in committee, film maker Michael Moore was across town in Washington, vowing to defeat errant Democrats in 2010 who didn't toe the socialist line.

From The Hill:

The ardent Democrat from Flint, Mich., said that if he can’t find more liberal Democrats to defeat the centrist congressional Democrats in primary elections, he will actively campaign for Republicans in the 2010 general elections.

“You think we’re behind you just because you’re Democrats?” Moore said to cheers from the few dozen supporters packed into the second floor of Public Citizen’s downtown Washington office....

Moore went on to vow that he would find Pro-Socialized health care GOPers. Continuing:

“We’ll find Republicans who are smart enough to realize that the majority of Americans want universal healthcare. That’s right. That’s absolutely right. Don’t take this for granted.”

Happy hunting Michael. Even the most outspoken and strident Centrist Republicans Senators Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins of Maine, are on record firmly against the public option.

Perhaps Moore is thinking of an infiltration of ex-GOPers back into the Party?

Arlen Specter? Lincoln Chaffee, perhaps?
