A Cultural Libertarian explains why Sarah Palin is even better than Ronald Reagan

Classical Values blog has a long piece responding to recent elitist and social conservative concerns about Sarah Palin. The piece has an ironic title, a twist on another recent piece by Conservative blogger stalwart John Hawkins of RightWingNews.com: "Who will betray the libertarians for Palin?"

In the article, the author explains why Palin is even more genuine than the deified on the Right, Ronald Reagan. Then, CV explains that one critical difference makes Palin even better: She's cooler on social issues.

Well, there is one notable cultural difference between Reagan and Palin. Reagan ramped up (and to be fair, largely began) the modern "Drug War."

Palin smoked pot!

(Yay!)

Or do I get kicked out of the tent for saying that?

It's only my gentle way of saying that I prefer her to Reagan, whose Culture War side I regarded as unfortunate and unnecessarily divisive. (A consequence of this was that too many bohemian types like me found themselves relegated to the left, and by both sides.)
