Runners World features "former" beauty queen Sarah Palin

From Cliff Thies:

Runners World describes Gov. Sarah Palin as a “former beauty queen” … former??? You be the judge.

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is featured in the August 2009 issue of Runners World. The piece includes seven gorgeous photos of her, each one a pin-up, along with a brief interview. Her effervescent, All-American personality comes through, along with her grit and determination. ”I feel so crappy if I go more than a few days without running,” she says at one point. When asked how she’d do in a long race against fellow jogger President Barack Obama, she says she’d come out ahead. Perhaps, in 2012, we’ll find out.

Hopefully, should we find out in 2012, it will be Sarah Palin ahead of Barack Obama.

Palin is rather uneducated in political thought. Her Conservative instincts are at the "gut" level, not the brain level. Still she is light years ahead of my moron Liberal GOP Congressman.

But as to Palin and others, I am not looking for a Conservative in 2012. There is nothing in our government that I want to "conserve." We need a true candidate of Libertarian thought who will not only carry the torch of liberty but who will slash government at every level.

No "conserving". We need to be hard asses and turn back the clock.

I'm just waiting to see whether Dondero's love affair with Palin ultimately culminates into what Mark Sanford would call "something more."

Former beauty queen. Still a beauty.

Chuck Lipseg????

Where you been all these years? Good to see you back.

Eric Dondero said...

Dan, I already have a beauty queen of my own, thank you. Of Chinese ethnicity.

My wife certainly rivals Sarah in the looks department. And I would know. Cause I had the pleasure of spending 3 hours right at Sarah's side waving a side in Anchorage in 2006.

Gary, Sarah comes from the libertarian wing of the GOP, definitely NOT! the conservative wing.

In the 2006 race, she was hammered by conservatives of the Frank Murkowski persuasion for being a "closeted libertarian."

Amazing to me how quickly people have forgotten that.

Hey man, at least he'd be with the hottest governer in America and a former beauty queen contestant, you'd be stuck in a basement typing about how much of a evil neocon Eric is.

Heh. Palin 2012.

Thanks Eric!

Eric:

Palin is a "closeted Libertarian"?

I want to believe it. But talk is cheap. I want to see the proof that she is in some way SHRINKING government. Action. PROOF.

RONALD REAGAN: Speaking of cheap talk. As Governor he raised taxes and increased the state budget by 115%. As President he lowered taxes once and then raised taxes the next year. Plus spent money like a madman racking up a huge national debt.

I am sick to death of cheap Republican TALK and HOT AIR followed by either no action or by Liberal policies. For that reason this year I re-registered from the Liberal Republican Party to the Libertarian Party.

No one has outspent Obama. No one, and we aren't even into a year yet. We need someone with the brains of Thomas Jefferson, the balls of Teddy Roosevelt and the heart of Andrew Jackson. Unfortunately, no such person exists.

Gary, here ya' go:

An in-depth report, #s included, on how Palin has decreased Alaska's budgets and earmarks since being in office.

Thanks for the site.

Like the X-Files "I want to believe" in Palin the budget cutter. But budget info on a site titled Conservatives 4 Palin may not be neutral.

QUESTIONS: is Alaska spending down because of the mighty budget cutter Palin? or is it simply that tax revenues are down during a recession? or is it down because of a tight fisted legislature?

Pardon me if I feel burned out and screwed over. Every GOP candidate in my lifetime talks the happy talk about smaller government. When elected these so-called "conservatives" grow government as fast as possible.

In the olden days a person who said one thing and then did another was called a liar. For truth in advertising the GOP should change their name to the Liberal Republican Party. I am tired of being lied to.

As for Palin. I will withhold judgement for now.

Oh, come on Gary you mean you're not hastily anticipating the GOP selecting that "asskicker with the great hair" to take down Uh,bam,uh because the magnirrific Romneycare will be the perfect antidote to all the "party of no" trolls and he'll carry the northeast? Can't you just feel the 1% excitement?

(We're fucked..............)

We live in a one-liberal-party dictatorship which operates under two different names: Rep & Demo.

In the 2008 election cycle the national committees of the two parties spent over $3 Billion to crush all voices. That $3 Billion is not coming from a bake sale by a local Women's Fed club. We are talking FASCISM. The merger of corporations, unions and the state. Those endless billions purchase elections. Voters are an optional extra.

American elections are a fraud.

2008 CALIFORNIA ELECTIONS: There were 100 state legislative seats on the ballot. Some 94 out of 100 were no contest at all. Almost every loser of the 94 no contest elections did not even bother to spend a single cent to campaign. ZERO - NADA. No spending reports were filed with the state. It is the same for Congressional races.

Our Corporate Masters allow us the illusion of "free" legislative elections, but it is all a lie. The contests are over before they are held. And in those few cases where there are so-called contested seats the Corporations donate to both parties so they always win.

A Fascist Corporate state has no interest in free markets or free elections. Just look how the Corporations are eager to support Obama's plans.
