New CNN Poll finds her steadily in the lead among GOPersFrom CNN:
Twenty-nine percent of Republicans questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey released Friday say they are most likely to support Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin for the next GOP presidential nomination.The poll also finds that Palin has a significant 10 point lead among Republican woman.
Twenty-six percent of those questioned say they are most likely backing Huckabee... Twenty-one percent of Republicans polled say they most likely would support former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney... Nine percent say they would probably back Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.

Ron Paul for President in 2012?
At the Republicans' huge Conservatice Political Action Confernece (CPAC) in Washington, DC, this year, there was a presidential straw poll for 2012.
Here are the results from the 9,000 activists:
Romney
Jindal
Ron Paul
Palin

Huckabee
Paul beats Palin at CPAC.
Palin is a libertarian, not a conservative.
Paul is a conservative, not a libertarian.
This is good news for libertarian Palin supporters. Thanks for bringing it to us.
I think Romney is the odds on favorite, but if the republicans don't get control of at least one house of congress in 2010, there won't be much of a country left to govern.

Even if the GOP regains control of one or both houses of Congress in 2010 (unlikely), I suspect they'll still be on the ropes presidency-wise in 2012, just as they were in 1996.
Whatever else you may think about Obama, he's even slicker than Slick Willie, and so far not coming off quite as Clintonesque as the most Clintonesque president in history, George W. Bush ("... his lips move"). He's probably going to nail a second term with Reagan 1984 area numbers.
